More Linux stuff – Photoshop in Ubuntu

I know I’ve been quiet lately… I’ve got the “setting up a new computer” blues. You know the drill- tweaking settings, installing things, and, in a new Linux user’s case, looking for alternatives to Windows software.

All is going well. I was having trouble with Gimp, then I installed GimpShop, which helps somewhat. However, I still miss photoshop for a few of the features, plus I can still just work faster in Photoshop. I found a nice explanation on how to run Photoshop through Wine here, followed the instructions, and it worked perfectly. I didn’t even do the “convert the file” step. I’ve noticed a few bugs, (and the browse feature doesn’t work) but the patch tool works.
