The desk
I promised my mom I would post a picture of this, and then forgot. It's best to go to the Flickr page (click the picture) to see the notes.

Donation: Ubuntu
My donation plan is already running behind. I skipped last pay period. oops.
This week, I made a $20 instead of a $10 donation to Ubuntu, since I have been using it and like it so much. I've been using it on the spare computer, and will install it as a dual boot on my main computer one of these days.
In short, I highly recommend Ubuntu. Go get it! You can burn a CD and boot your computer from it without installing, which is very nice. It's super easy, too.

Test Post with Google Docs
I just discovered Google Docs. This will come in handy when using Zotero - I'll be able to compose my paper right in Firefox and publish, share, or blog it right away.I think that this is a service I would pay for... I'll have to try it out some more.
How long before all of the functionality of the computer is inside the web browser?

Why has no one thought of this before?
Nearly every nightstand has 2 things- an alarm clock and a lamp. Why has no one ever combined them?
Now they have, and there's a nifty feature built in- the light will fade up, waking you gradually. Nifty. Too bad it's $150. I suspect that in a year or two, they'll be $29.95 at Walmart.
Rise & Shine Natural Alarm Clock
There's a similar product available for $50 - The Progressive wake up clock. But I will wait out for one that's a lamp, too.
Any electronics geek out there want to build me one of these for about $50? It doesn't have to be pretty.

New Web Page Design

I've been bad about posting again. I've been hard at work redesigning my site (again.) Like every redesign, I think this one will be the last, but no guarantees.
